Online Payment Terms and Conditions
1. Introduction
This online payment facility is provided by Sidra Medicine (“Sidra”) through its payment gateway third party service provider(s) (“Service Provider(s)”) to provide Individuals with an efficient and easy method of payment to Sidra Services.
Please read these terms and conditions carefully prior to using the online payment facility. The following terms and conditions shall apply to any Individual using our online payment system. By using the online payment system, you are deemed to have read and accepted these payment terms and conditions. If you do not agree with these terms and conditions, you are advised against the use of the online payment facility.
The terms and conditions may be updated from time to time and such updates shall take effect immediately.
2. Terms of Payment
· The online payment facility currently accepts only Mastercard and Visa debit and credit cards.
· You warrant that you are the owner of the card you intend to use to pay through the online payment facility or that you have been authorized by the card holder to use the credit or debit card to make the payment to Sidra through the online payment facility.
· You warrant that the information that you will enter will be complete, accurate and up-to-date. You are responsible for ensuring that the details entered are correct and match the credit or debit card. Sidra shall not be liable for any loss, expense, cost or damages incurred as a result of the misallocation of payment due to incorrect information entered.
· The price of the goods and services offered by Sidra shall be quoted in the Qatari Riyal. Where currency conversion is available in your local currency, the currency conversion rate is an estimate and Sidra shall not be responsible for any difference between the currency conversion rate and the actual rate deducted by your issuing bank. Furthermore, you are liable for any currency conversion fees or charges that may be charged by your issuing bank in addition to the payment to Sidra and these fees shall not be deducted from any payments made to Sidra.
· Once you are ready to proceed with the online payment, you will be taken to the payment gateway operated by our Service Provider(s) who will process the payment on Sidra’s behalf. If the payment is successful and the funds are cleared, the Service Provider(s) will transfer the payment to Sidra within 1-2 Working Days. However, neither Sidra nor the Service Provider(s) shall be held liable for any delay or disruption in the processing of the payment.
· If the payment is successful, the payment confirmation receipt will be displayed on your screen. You are advised to print and/or save this receipt as proof of payment.
· In the event that your payment is declined for any reason, Sidra shall not be liable for any loss, expense, cost or damages arising from or in connection with this nor shall Sidra be required to advise you of the reason why the payment was declined.
· Sidra or its Service Provider(s) shall not be liable for any expense, cost, loss or damages incurred by you due to any defects, errors, interruptions or delays of the online payment facility.
· Sidra endeavors to ensure that the information on its website is accurate at the time it is published; however, Sidra does not warrant this and Sidra shall not be responsible for any damages, cost, expense or loss arising from inaccurate information. Where Sidra discovers inaccurate information, it shall update the website accordingly.
· The user shall indemnify and hold Sidra and its Service Provider(s) harmless from and against all liability, claims, action, lawsuits, penalties, charges, losses, costs, damages, obligations and expenses without limitation, whether direct or consequential, arising out of or in connection with your use or misuse of the online payment facility.
3. Security
· All payments made will be processed by the Service Provider(s) and card payment details processed shall be encrypted. Sidra does not view or store credit card information.
· Sidra and its Service Provider(s) shall not be liable for any loss, damages, costs and expense, without limitation, arising out of or in connection with the following: (a) your failure to maintain effective and up-to-date security and anti-virus on the computer that you have used to make the payment; (b) your failure to protect the credit card information from being seen by third parties in any way, either by viewing the screen or otherwise; (c) in the event of third party interception including hacking and theft.
4. Data Protection
· To facilitate smooth and accurate payment process, we may require you to supply us with certain identifying information including your passport and/or QID number (“Personal Data”).
· You warrant and confirm that the Personal Data that you provide as part of the payment process is accurate, complete and up-to-date. You shall not submit any information that is inaccurate, false or misleading. If you discover any information that is no longer accurate or up-to-date, you acknowledge that you will contact Sidra as soon as possible to update this information.
· By using the online payment facility, you are deemed to consent to Sidra’s processing (including, but not limited to, collection, storage, retrieval, use, disclosure, transfer and removal) of your Personal Data that you have submitted for the legitimate purpose of facilitating the online payment process.
· If you do not consent to the processing of your Personal Data, you are advised against using our online payment facility.
· Sidra and its Service Provider(s) have taken reasonable and appropriate security measures and safeguards to protect your personal data; however, Sidra and its Service Provider(s) shall not be held liable for any loss, expense, damages or cost arising out of or in connection with the incidental or illegitimate loss, damages, modification or unauthorized disclosure, use or access of the Personal Data.
5. Refunds and Cancellation Policy
· In the event that you request the cancellation of your appointment at Sidra after payment of the fees, you are required to contact Sidra as soon as practicable.
· If appropriate, Sidra, through its Service Provider, shall arrange a refund of the fees paid. Please note that refunds shall be returned to the same card that was used to make the online purchase. It will take approximately three (3) working days to process a refund for QNB and non-QNB cards and approximately 10 working days for Debit Cards (NAPS).
· No refunds shall be available once Sidra has provided the relevant Services to you except in circumstances where there has been an overpayment for the Services rendered.
6. Governing Law
· Any dispute arising from these payment terms and conditions shall be governed by the applicable laws and regulations of the State of Qatar and the Qatari courts will have exclusive jurisdiction with regard to all matters arising in connection with these payment terms and conditions.
