QPEM Pediatric Emergency Resuscitation Program

"The simulated-based program will provide an opportunity for healthcare professionals to practice the management of acute pediatric emergencies, including medical and trauma resuscitation of critically ill children. The program will be led by a highly trained clinical team of senior pediatric emergency medicine experts including nursing leaders and educators. It will be delivered as a combination of interactive lectures and simulation-based sessions, offering a chance for hands-on practice alongside the professional facilitators followed up with a comprehensive debrief. This course is very different from APLS and PALS course, and will give candidates the opportunity to take a leadership role in the resuscitation of acute emergencies under the supervision and guidance of a facilitator. The course will follow the latest updates and evidence-based guidance for managing acute pediatric resuscitation. Please note there will not be any assessment during the course. The goal is to develop critical skills and effective team behaviors in a safe, constructive environment that will enable healthcare professionals to provide better patient care within an emergency setting. The program is an approved CPD activity from the Ministry of Public Health with Category 1 and 3 points. "
